Send drafts to the brand for review before you post.
Last updated
Drafts for brand deals are reviewed in the Content tab before you post them. Feedback, revisions, and approval all happen on the draft.
The Content tab unlocks when you accept your first offer. Until then it shows Content opens with your first brand deal, your progress toward 400, and the Open to brand deals switch.
Content tab#
The tab opens with anything waiting on you:
- A draft the brand approved, with Mark as posted.
- A draft with changes requested, with See notes.
Under that, Your partnerships lists each accepted offer with where it stands, such as "1 approved, waiting on you to post" or "2 in review with Glow Co.". Your drafts follow, grouped as Needs changes, Drafts, In review, Ready to post, and Earlier.
Before your first upload#
Uploads for a deal open once the account the brand invited is scored and verified. You'll have done this before accepting; if not, the offer shows Two steps before you upload. See Accepting an offer.
Sending a draft#
- Tap New submission on the Content tab or on an accepted offer. If you have more than one deal, choose the partnership it's for.
- Tap Upload a draft, or drag in a video or image up to 50MB.
- Add an optional Title and the Caption you plan to use. The caption saves as you type.
- Tap Send for review.
The draft moves to In review. Feedback appears in the draft's Feedback thread, from the brand's team or from Shortlist on the brand's behalf. You can reply there.
Statuses#
| Status | Meaning | Next step |
|---|---|---|
| Draft | Not sent yet. | Upload and tap Send for review. |
| In review | Waiting for the reviewer. | Wait for feedback. |
| Needs changes | The reviewer asked for changes. | Upload a new version and tap Send changes for review. |
| Approved | Ready to post. | Post it, then tap Mark as posted. |
| Posted | Live and tracked. | None. Stats appear on the offer. |
| Not used | The brand won't use it. | Check the thread for the reason. |
Revisions#
- Open the draft and read the feedback.
- Tap Upload a new version. Earlier versions stay in the draft's history.
- Edit the caption if needed and tap Send changes for review.
Marking a post as posted#
After a draft is approved, post it on your account, then:
- Open the draft and tap Mark as posted.
- Paste the link to the live post. If you posted on more than one platform, tap Add another platform and add each link (one per platform).
- Check the preview under Is this the right post? and tap Yes, mark as posted.
Roar starts tracking the post, and its stats appear on the offer under Campaign performance after the next refresh.
The post has to be on the account the brand invited, or on one of your verified accounts on that platform if the offer didn't name one. Otherwise Roar shows a message like "This post is on @otherhandle. Post it from @yourhandle, the account this offer is for." If you have no verified account on that platform, verify one first.
Deleting a draft#
Drafts that haven't been sent can be deleted with Delete draft, then Confirm delete. This also deletes the uploaded files and can't be undone.
