Verify your account

Verification confirms that you own an account you've connected. You add a short code to the account's bio and Roar checks for it. You don't log in to the platform, and you can remove the code once the account is verified.

A verified account unlocks the Chat tab and the Open to brand deals switch. You only need one for those.

Brand deals need more: the account a brand invited must be verified before you can accept its offer, upload drafts, or mark posts as posted. See Accepting an offer.

Verifying an account#

1. Tap your avatar in the top corner, then tap Verify next to the account. You can also start from the Chat tab, or from the steps on an offer.
2. Copy the code shown under Verify @yourhandle. It looks like SL-7KQ2X9.
3. Open the platform with Open TikTok, Open Instagram, or Open YouTube, paste the code anywhere in your bio, and save.
4. Return to Roar and tap Check my bio.
5. When the account shows Verified, you can delete the code from your bio.

Case, spaces, and dashes don't matter, so sl 7kq2x9 also works.

Errors#

Also check that the code is in the bio of the account you're verifying, and that the account is public.

Each account has its own code and is verified separately.
