Plans and usage
Roar plans cover the software on its own; programs from Shortlist are billed separately at kickoff.

Roar has two self-serve plans, Individual and Pro, plus Enterprise for teams managing several brands. A plan is for using Roar on its own. Programs that Shortlist runs for you are billed separately, at kickoff, and a paid program opens all of Roar for your team without a separate plan.

All plans include the AI agent, daily refreshes, and reporting. For Enterprise, book a call.
Free trial#
After you sign up, choose Roar only in the shop and select Start 7-day free trial. This opens Stripe checkout for Individual with your email filled in. You enter a card but aren't charged for 7 days, and canceling before then costs nothing. Check out with the same email you signed up with, so the plan attaches to your workspace.
To start on Pro, start the trial and switch with Change plan.
Limits#
- Tracked posts: posts Roar is currently refreshing. Paused posts don't count. At the limit, turning tracking back on for a post shows "Tracked video limit reached".
- AI credits: used by the agent. The allowance resets daily.
- Boost pulls: one is used for each extra refresh of a boosted campaign.
- MCP calls: one per request from an outside agent over MCP.
- Sourcing runs: one per sourcing run. Each run also costs 25 AI credits, and at most two can be active at once.
Settings → Usage & Billing shows your usage of each. The AI Credits row in the account menu shows the share of today's credits you've used.
Buying AI credits#
When credits run out, the agent replies "This workspace is out of AI credits. Top up to keep chatting." Owners can buy more in Settings → Usage & Billing with Buy 100 for $10. Purchased credits don't reset daily.
Billing#
Only owners can manage billing. In Settings → Usage & Billing:
- Change plan switches between Individual and Pro.
- Manage Plan opens the billing portal, where you can update your card or cancel.
- View Invoices lists past invoices.
Workspaces without a Roar plan see an Upgrade tab in Settings instead. Program payments are made from the program's page; see Kickoff. For billing questions, email hello@shlist.com.
