Shortlists
Shortlists hold creators you're considering before you work with them.
Last updated
A shortlist is a list of creators you're considering. Adding someone to a shortlist doesn't track their posts or count against your plan. When you decide to work with a creator, you can send them an offer or start tracking their account.

- Open Shortlists in the sidebar and choose New shortlist.
- Enter a name (up to 200 characters) and an optional description.
- Choose Workspace (anyone in the workspace can view and edit) or Private (only you can).
- Choose Create.
The Shortlists page can be filtered by All, Mine, Workspace, and Archived. Each list's pipeline shows how many members are Candidate, Contacted, Interested, Negotiating, Contracted, and Declined.
Adding creators#
- Add member: choose a platform and paste handles, one per line or separated by commas. Use Refresh profile on each row to load their profile data.
- Sourcing: your agent can find creators and add them to a list. See Sourcing.
- Agent: ask your agent, in Roar or over MCP, to add a creator to a list.
Member actions#
| Action | Effect |
|---|---|
| Note | Adds a note for your team |
| Rate | Records a rate range in USD |
| Contact | Saves an email, phone number, or DM handle |
| Send offer | Starts a partnership (Creator partnerships) |
| Refresh profile | Updates followers and avatar |
| Graduate to tracked account | Starts tracking the creator's posts |
| Remove from list | Removes them from this shortlist |
You can select several rows and act on them together from the bar at the bottom of the screen.
Member statuses#
Offers sent through Roar update a member's status automatically. You can also set it yourself.
| Status | Set by | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| Candidate | You | Under consideration |
| Offered | You | Made an offer outside Roar |
| Interested | You | Replied wanting to work with you |
| Negotiating | You | Agreeing rates and terms |
| Offer sent | Roar | A Roar offer is waiting for them |
| Offer viewed | Roar | They opened the offer |
| Accepted | Roar or you | They accepted |
| Declined | Roar or you | They declined |
| Expired | Roar | The offer expired unanswered |
| Withdrawn | Roar | You withdrew the offer |
| Tracked | Roar | Graduated to a tracked account |
When a creator accepts an offer sent from a shortlist, they're marked Contracted and Roar starts tracking their account, adding new posts to the offer's campaign.
Programs#
A shortlist can source creators for one of your programs. A linked list shows Program: and the program's name at the top; select it to move the list to another program or take it off. An unlinked list shows Add to a program when your workspace has programs. The program's Creators section collects everyone on its linked lists.
Graduating to tracking#
Graduate to tracked account starts tracking a member's account. Their posts go to a campaign called Shortlists, in a group named after the list. You can change the default campaign and group on the creator's page.
Renaming, exporting, and archiving#
The list's menu (top right) has:
- Rename, for the name, description, and visibility.
- Export CSV, which includes platform, handle, name, followers, status, note, rate range, contact email, and who added each creator and when.
- Archive, which hides the list. Archived lists can't take new members until you choose Unarchive.
