Track posts

Add TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube posts to Roar by pasting their links.

Last updated

Roar refreshes a tracked post's views, likes, comments, shares, and saves automatically for as long as it's tracked. Each tracked post belongs to one campaign and one group, so create those first (see the quickstart).

Roar tracks public posts on TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube. Use the post's own link, from the platform's share button:

Private posts, deleted posts, and stories can't be tracked.

Quick Track#

  1. Open Campaigns, go to the Posts tab, and select Create New Post to open Quick Track.
  2. Paste the link into Post URL.
  3. Optionally enter a Creator Handle. Roar reads it from the post when it can.
  4. Choose a campaign and a group. Both are required.
  5. Optionally add tags.
  6. Select Track Post.

You'll see "Post is now being tracked." The first numbers usually appear within a minute or two.

  1. On Campaigns, select a campaign, then select one group on the Posts tab. This also works on a campaign's own page.
  2. Copy your links, one per line or separated by spaces, and paste anywhere on the page.
  3. Roar confirms with a message like "Tracking 3 URLs in the background..." and adds them to the selected group.

Pasting only works when exactly one group is selected.

Other ways to add posts#

  • Tracked accounts add a creator's new posts automatically.
  • Creator links let creators submit their own posts.
  • Your agent can track posts when you ask, in Roar or over MCP. For example: "Track these three posts in Spring launch, Micro creators."

Managing tracked posts#

Each row in the posts table has a tracking switch. Turning it off pauses the post: refreshes stop, its history is kept, and it no longer counts against your plan's tracked-post limit. Campaigns and groups have the same switch, which pauses every post in them.

To act on several posts, select them and choose Move to… (another campaign or group) or Delete posts (removes the posts and their history).

Enter what you paid for a post in the Spend column, and Roar calculates CPM for the post, its group, and its campaign. Manage Columns adds custom columns to the table, such as a deliverable type or an internal ID.
