Track accounts

Track a creator's profile and Roar adds their new posts automatically.

Last updated

When you track an account, Roar checks the profile for new posts on each refresh and tracks them in the campaign and group you choose. This suits creators on retainer, always-on programs, and your own brand accounts.

Adding an account#

  1. Open Creators in the sidebar and select Track Account.
  2. Paste the profile link into Profile URL. Roar fills in the Platform and Handle.
  3. Under Auto-assign new posts, choose a campaign, group, and tags for new posts, or leave it blank.
  4. Under Pull previous post data?, choose whether to import recent posts, and how many (up to 25) with Number of latest posts to pull.
  5. Select Start Tracking.

Supported profile links look like this:

https://www.tiktok.com/@glow.on.budget
https://www.instagram.com/glow.on.budget/
https://www.youtube.com/@glowonbudget

Where new posts go#

New posts go to the campaign and group you chose. If you left Auto-assign new posts blank, they go to a campaign called Accounts, in a group named after the handle. You can move them with Move to… on the Posts tab.

Importing past posts#

Pull previous post data? imports up to 25 of the account's latest posts when you start tracking, so you have a baseline right away. Imported posts count toward your plan's tracked-post limit.

Account page#

Select a creator on Creators to open their page, where you can:

  • See followers, views, and engagement rate across their tracked posts.
  • Change the default campaign, group, and tags for new posts.
  • Send offer to invite them to a campaign. See Creator partnerships.
  • Resync profile & posts to update the profile and recent posts immediately.
  • Delete to stop tracking the account, then confirm with Delete Account. Posts already tracked are kept.
  • Detach from group to separate one account from a creator with several.

If one person has accounts on several platforms, select them on Creators and choose Group as one creator to combine their numbers. See Creators.

Competitors#

Track a competitor's profile the same way, then set the creator's stage to Competitor. The Creators list can be filtered by Everyone, Competitor, or Archived, and Overview can compare their posts with yours. You can also ask your agent, for example: "How are @glow.rival's last 20 posts doing against ours?"
